We have 8x Target lanes booked for Friday on Stickledown range for both AM/PM. We’ll start at 08:30hrs at 800 yards then dress back to 900 yards at 10:30hrs approx. We’ll then have an afternoon session at 1000 yards which will start at 13:30hrs and finish at 16:00hrs. Target lanes for those involved will be confirmed nearer the practice date. This will be a long day for our volunteer staff and markers.
Be warned, if there is an extended lull in activity on Friday mid-afternoon and all our shooters in attendance have finished, we reserve the right to close down the range early.
Squadding will be emailed out to all our competitors, and score cards can be collected from our Red Gazebo HQ on Stickledown Range behind the 1000 yard line from 07:30hrs on Saturday 7th November.
Shooting starts at 08:30hrs sharp on both Saturday and Sunday. Don’t be late as you may be on it!

Additional information for our competitors:-
1 Targets will be NRA F-Class Long Range and Scoring will be a V = 5.1
2 To prevent upset, DO NOT set up on a firing point unless you have a shooting partner to shoot against.
In an effort to prevent anyone from string shooting, the RCO has been advised to move any single competitors to another firing point to create a shooting pair.
If you find yourself alone, let the RCO know asap!
3 There will be a 2min Blow Off period prior to the start of each detail on Saturday’s Match 1 (am) & Sunday’s Match 4 (am). Timings will be strictly adhered to (30mins per 2+15 in pairs) & (40mins per 2+20 in pairs).
The 45 Second rule will apply, and our competitors will be randomly timed throughout the weekend.
4 It’s your responsibility to clear your shooting partners rifle and vice versa.
Bolts must be removed, and a Breech flag inserted into the chamber before any rifles can be removed from the firing point.
Please be prompt on removing all your kit from the firing point to allow the next detail to set up and start on time.
5 Squadding for Sunday’s matches will be based on Saturday’s aggregate positions. This will be emailed out to all our competitors on Saturday evening and also circulated on our GBFCA Facebook page. Please make sure you arrive on the range in good time, so you don’t miss your detail.
6 Medals will be awarded for 1st – 3rd at each stage including daily aggregates in both classes. We will also award our usual glass awards and GBFCA silver salvers to podium finishers.
7 As this is our last GBFCA competition of the 2026 season, we will also take this opportunity to issue all our end of season awards to those shooters who have made the Top 10 positions. We have dedicated glass awards to give out to all Top 10 positions in both F/TR & F-Open.
As we get down to the “nitty-gritty” part of the season and final fight for our Top 10 positions and beyond, here’s a brief reminder of how any final countbacks are done in case anyone’s league points are drawn for any position. Please Note – At the event itself, our focus will be on the Top 10’s in F/TR & F-Open.
AWARDS CEREMONY
On Sunday and weather permitting, we’ll hold both our British Championship and end of season GBFCA league awards ceremony on the range. This will take place once shooting has finished for the day and all our stats are complete. This should ensure the attendance is worthy enough to honour all our winners.
Please be patient while we gather stats and please stick around and show your support to all the winners!
THE GBFCA END OF SEASON BONUS PRIZE DRAW
At the end of our prize giving on Sunday, there will also be a bonus prize draw where competitor numbers will be drawn at random. There will be 8 free draws on offer, and each draw will give one of our lucky competitors a free entry into one of the GBFCA’s official league rounds in 2027.
