The G.B.F.C.A European F-Class Championships at NRA UK Bisley Ranges

Dear Ladies & Gentlemen,
It’s with great pleasure that we can now announce our plans for the 2023 G.B.F.C.A European F-Class Championships and welcome on board our fantastic competition sponsors that have joined us so far.
Entries
This year’s European Championships are currently limited to a maximum of 204x individual entrants, 27x teams for the Thursday and 34x Teams for the Sunday. All entries in both Individual and Teams MUST BE PURCHASED ONLINE FIRST.
Please note – To enter this competition you must be a GBFCA member which costs £20. Membership and competition entries can be purchased from the “shop” section on our Great Britain F-Class Association website:- https://gbfclass.com/

Overseas Visitors Permits

Zero Range (HME) and Practise Targets
The zero range will be open for all those wishing to zero their rifles above 4500 Joules muzzle energy from 0730-1600hrs each day. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE WITH A RIFLE ABOVE 4500 JOULES MUZZLE ENERGY UNLESS YOU ZERO FIRST!

Important changes to the way we’re taking payments
All entries must be purchased online from our GBFCA website and they can be found in the “Competitions & Membership” section. No entries for Individuals or Teams will be accepted without payment first. https://gbfclass.com/shop/
Any online bookings / payments for the European Championships will be refunded, less a handling fee to cover bank payment charges, if cancelled before Sunday 23rd July and the start of the event.
MATCH CONDITIONS FOR BOTH F/TR & F-OPEN
All shooting will be in pairs with up to 3 details per distance. There will be blow off shots prior to the start of each first detail and on each day of competition. Shooting will start at 0830hrs sharp on Stickledown Range throughout this competition so don’t be late – You may be shooting first detail.

Thursday 7th September – Dolphin Rutland Teams Match – Team entry £130
Teams will have 4x Shooters and can be coached. Maximum of 8x people per team and all teams must provide a registered keeper prior to the start of competition.

Friday 8th September – European Championship Individuals Day 1 – Entry £85

We’ll be holding an informal gathering in the marquee on the range after shooting is complete on Saturday afternoon. Free soft & alcoholic drinks will be available, courtesy of the G.B.F.C.A along with a wholesome BBQ, provided by the Surrey.
This is open to all our competitors who’ve entered and as a bonus, we’ll also be holding a quality prize draw for all our competitors that have entered into the 2023 Euros.
All our quality prizes have been kindly donated by our traders and competition sponsors and the winners will be those who have their competitor number drawn at random from a hat.
NB – If your not in attendance to collect your prize, another number will be drawn at random.

European International Rutland Teams Match – Team entry £130
All teams in this event must be full teams and consist of 4x shooters and 8x members in total. Teams must provide a registered keeper prior to the start of competition.
M1 – 2+15 at 900 yards (am)
M2 – 2+15 at 1000 yards (am)

Monday Informal Practise am/pm at all distances 800, 900 & 1000 yards
Tuesday Individuals – 56x Competition rounds + Blow Offs
Wednesday Individuals – 56x Competition rounds + Blow Offs
Thursday Individuals – 34x Competition rounds + Blow Offs
Thursday Teams – 34x Competition rounds + Blow Offs
Friday Individuals – 56x Competition Rounds + Blow Offs
Saturday Individuals – 56x Competition Rounds + Blow Offs
Sunday Teams – 34x Competition Rounds + Blow Offs
Both National & Rutland Team Captains will be required to nominate their teams, including coaches and registered keepers on Saturday evening to the any of the G.B.F.C.A committee present. All 8x Man teams both National and Rutland will shoot as equals this year and be eligible to win the Teams European Championship. Please note – Any Rutland Team with a mix of F-Open and F/TR shooters will compete as an F-Open Team.
Competition Timings
30 minutes for a paired 2+15 (Individuals)
40 minutes for a paired 2+20 (Individuals)
75 minutes for 2+15 x4 (Team Matches)
Awards
Tuesday 5th + Wednesday 6th + Thursday 7th September – Individuals
Gold, Silver & Bronze medals will be awarded to the Top 3 shooters in both F/TR & F-Open at all distances, including medals for the highest daily aggregates.
Thursday 7th September – Dolphin Rutland Teams Match
8x Gold, 8x Silver & 8x Bronze medals will be awarded to the Top 3 (8-Man) Teams in both F/TR & F-Open for the highest Grand Aggregates (2x PM matches combined)
Friday 8th + Saturday 9th September – European Championship Individuals
Gold, Silver & Bronze medals will be awarded to the Top 3 shooters in both F/TR & F-Open at all distances, including medals for the highest daily aggregates.
Prize Vouchers kindly sponsored by Accuracy Reloading will also be awarded to the Top 3 G Agg positions in both classes F/TR & F-Open. €500 for 1st place, €300 for 2nd place and €200 for 3rd
GBFCA Silver Salvers will also be awarded to the shooter with the highest Grand Aggregate in both F/TR & F-Open. Quality engraved glass awards will also be presented to the Top 10 shooters in both F/TR & F-Open for the highest Grand Aggregates (Friday Daily Agg + Saturday Daily Agg)
Sunday 10th September – Combined International & Rutland Teams European Championship
8x Gold, 8x Silver & 8x Bronze medals will be awarded to the Top 3 (8-Man) Teams in both F/TR & F-Open for the highest Grand Aggregates (2x AM matches combined)
Relevant daily scores will be displayed on TV monitors within the Marquee at the back of Stickledown Range. As this area will also contain our trade village full of our competition sponsors and traders, pay them a visit and take advantage of any exclusive deals they may have on offer.
Awards for all Tuesday to Thursday’s Individuals including Thursday’s Teams event will be awarded in the marquee a short period after shooting has finished on Thursday afternoon (approx 17:30hrs). Awards for Friday and Saturday’s Individuals including Sunday’s Teams will be awarded in the marquee a short period after shooting has finished on Sunday morning (approx 13:30hrs)

Target numbers will be drawn after the morning session of individual shooting has finished on Thursday.
Please be back on Stickledown Ranges at 13:00hrs so we’re ready for a 13:30hrs start
Teams are to consist of a maximum number of 8 people
Eg:- 1x Captain, 1x Adjutant, 1x Coaches, 4x Firers & 1x Register Keepers
TIMINGS
13:30hrs 5 minutes blow off period for whole team to warm up
13:35hrs Match 1 – 1000 yds 2 & 15 shots, Timing 75 minutes
15:00hrs Match 2 – 1000 yds 2 & 15 shots, Timing 75 minutes
All Scorecards to be handed in asap
There will be a prize giving on Stickledown range within the Maquee after shooting has finished and all stats collated at approx 17:15hrs
All teams must provide register keepers
Any Team member may be a shooter

COMBINED G.B.F.C.A INTERNATIONAL & RUTLAND
TEAMS EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

All teams of the same class will shoot together as equals, therefore International and Rutland teams will shoot against each other and will be eligible to become 2022 Teams European Champions.
