SHOOTER ADMIN NOTES
Dear Ladies & Gentlemen,
The start of our season is now fast approaching, so I thought I’d start the ball rolling by releasing the details for Round 1 at Bisley.
The zero range will be open for all those wishing to zero their rifles above 4500 Joules muzzle energy from 08:00am onwards on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE WITH A RIFLE ABOVE 4500 JOULES MUZZLE ENERGY UNLESS YOU ZERO FIRST! For any further information regarding zeroing, please contact the NRA Range Office directly on the following number – 01483 797777.
Friday 4th April 2025 – Informal practice – £35 per individual.
We have 8x Target lanes booked on Stickledown range for the PM. Starting at 13:30hrs and finishing at 16:00hrs. Lane numbers TBC.
(Entry fee for the “F-Class Mid Range Challenge” – £120 per Individual)

Sunday 6th April 2025 on Stickledown Range

Match 5 (AM) – 2+15 @ 800 yards
Match 6 (AM) – 2+15 @ 800 yards
Total round count needed – 102x Competition Rounds + Blow Offs
This competition is open to a Maximum of 150x Competitors
Squadding will be emailed out to all our competitors a day prior to the competition and score cards can be collected from Richie Jones on Stickledown Range from 07:30hrs on Saturday 5th April. Look for our Red Gazebo HQ at the rear of the 800 Yard firing line.
First details starts with Blow Offs at 08:30hrs sharp Saturday and Sunday, Don’t be late!
Additional information for our competitors:-
1 Targets will be NRA F-Class Long Range and Scoring will be a V = 5.1
2 To prevent upset, DO NOT set up on a firing point unless you have a shooting partner to shoot against.
In an effort to prevent anyone from string shooting, the RCO has been advised to move any single competitors to another firing point to create a shooting pair.
If you find yourself alone, let the RCO know asap!
3 There will be a 1min Blow Off period prior to the start of each detail on Saturday’s Match 1 (am) & Sunday’s Match 5 (am). Timings will be strictly adhered to (30mins per 2+15 in pairs).
The 45 Second rule will apply, and competitors will be timed at random throughout.
4 It’s your responsibility to clear your shooting partners rifle and vice versa.
Bolts must be removed, and a Breech flag inserted into the chamber before any rifles can be removed from the firing point.
Please be prompt on removing all your kit from the firing point to allow the next detail to set up and start on time.
5 Squadding for Sunday’s matches will be based on Saturday’s aggregate positions. This will be emailed out to all our competitors on Saturday evening and circulated on our GBFCA Facebook page. Please make sure you arrive on the range in good time, so you don’t miss your detail.
6 Medals will be awarded for 1st – 3rd at each stage (Matches 1-6) including daily aggregates in both classes. We will also award our usual glass awards and GBFCA silver salvers to final podium finishers.
AWARDS CEREMONY
This will be held on the range shortly after Match 6 has finished on Sunday and once all stats have been verified. We aim to conclude this ceremony by 12:30 – 13:00hrs.
