Dear Membership,
We understand that the cancellation of the long awaited Round 1 of the 2021 league season hasn’t been to
everyone’s delight. There is however light at the end of the tunnel and it won’t be long before we can resume
our official calendar and put our national events back on the map.
In the mean time, we have an official range booking at Bisley (17th/18th April) that the NRA will honour and
we also have markers ready and waiting to bench press those targets frames on Century. It would therefore
be a travesty to deny all those lucky enough to live close to Bisley a shoot along with those members that
have self catering accommodation on camp and/or prepared to travel to and from Bisley.
We’re now planning to hold an “Unofficial friendly” competition for a maximum of 90x shooters in a slightly
different format to normal and I want to gauge the level of interest amongst our membership. This
competition is only open to full GBFCA members.
Saturday 17th April (51 Rounds + Blow Offs)
Match 1 (am) 2+15 @ 600
Match 2 (am) 2+15 @ 600
Match 3 (pm) 2+15 @ 600
Sunday 18th April (34 Rounds + Blow Offs)
Match 4 (am) 2+15 @ 600
Match 5 (am) 2+15 @ 600
Gold, Silver & Bronze medals will be awarded in both F/TR and F-Open at all 5 matches including daily
aggregates on both Saturday and Sunday. We also have glass awards for the Top 3 shooters in both classes
for the highest weekends grand aggregate.
This format will accommodate anyone who wants to travel to Bisley and shoot a single day along with those
who want to make a full weekend of it. You may even want to shoot one class on Saturday and another on
the Sunday. Please note – to be in contention for any grand aggregate awards, you must shoot the same class
throughout the full weekend.
No GBFCA league points or Silver Salvers will be awarded at this event
We also have 6x lanes booked on Friday 16th April for an informal practise (both am and pm) and an option
to be included in this practise can be selected when our online entries go live – Entry Fees TBC
Please can you make your interest known to us on this Facebook thread. If you have
any further questions please text me (Richie) on 07970 060037 or email me at
richsjones@hotmail.co.uk The sooner we can gauge numbers, the sooner we can
make it happen.
Thanks in advance – Richie
